Inside the Vikings Huddle: John David Booty's Chance to Shine
As much as I love Tarvaris Jackson and as much as I love watching a mobile quarterback in the pocket, I think the Vikings should get JDB more involved in regular season games. I don't think too many Vikings fan's were happy with Jackson's completion percentage following Monday's loss to first time starter Aaron Rodgers and the depleted Pack. Of course we all know what Adrian Peterson can do, but when you have Jackson chucking up passes and he's completing less than half of them, you're probably not going to get very far. If JDB is taking snaps in week 2 against a solid Colts team that sputtered last week then he could get himself ready for playoff competition. (If the time comes.) All I'm saying is split time under center. Until the passing game is proven to be solid enough to balance with the run and get a couple W's, give the young guy a chance, and maybe...just maybe, the ''Purple Team'' might catch a break. (After all we've seen Matt Ryan, Aaron Rodgers, and Joe Flacco shine in their debut's.) Is it too much to ask for JDB to start one game? That's for you to decide.
