NBA Trade Rumors: Clippers Trying to Trade Baron Davis

The Los Angeles Clippers have reportedly been trying to trade point guard Baron Davis for a while now.

It's proving a tough task, however, because the aging guard still has two years and $28.8 million left on his contract.

Davis' production has been way down this season and the Clippers appear to want to turn over the team to newbie Eric Bledsoe.

"It's tough because it's the nature of the business,'' Davis said in an interview with FanHouse about the trade rumors surrounding him. "But it's tough because I don't want to leave. I'm here. I came here for a reason. If I were to be traded, I just think that I just never really got a chance to do what I was signed here to do.''

Davis is averaging 8.8 points and 6.3 assists in 25 minutes per game.
