Jeff Hardy: Had He Stayed in WWE, His Drug Issues Would Not Matter

For the sake of his reputation, Jeff Hardy should have stayed in WWE.

For those of you that are not aware, Hardy is currently on trial for drug charges. Reports have surfaced that he's going to plead guilty to lesser charges in an attempt to get this trial over with. The case has yet to be finalized.

However, in the eyes of the WWE Universe, he has already been ruled guilty. In fact, he was already guilty prior to stepping foot inside of a courtroom.

When you leave Vince McMahon, the WWE Universe will stop supporting and praising you. When you sign with TNA, they instantly turn on you. No wrestler is exempt, not even Hardy.

Now that he's under the TNA banner, there's nothing he can say or do to prove himself innocent. Even if the judicial system declares that he's completely cleared of all charges, the WWE Universe will still believe otherwise.

If Hardy cares at all about what wrestling fans feel about him, he should have stayed with WWE. There, his drug issues were not that big of a deal to the fans. He even had a large chunk of the fan base defending him when McMahon suspended him prior to Wrestlemania XXIV.

The only people that would have attacked his drug issues were the media, but that's more of a problem for the company than for him.
