Alex Rodriguez is powerless to help the New York Yankees' threadbare starting rotation, so he might as well take a holiday vacation.

And that's exactly what the Yankees third baseman is doing right now, as he and Cameron Diaz are currently vacationing in Los Cabos, Mexico, a place that apparently offers no respite from the paparazzi.

Rodriguez also brought his two young daughters along with him, and it would appear that has no interest whatsoever in paddleboarding.

In the meantime, while A-Rod catches some rays south of the border, the Yankees' search for starting pitching continues. It's looking more and more like Andy Pettitte won't be coming back for another rodeo, and Jerry Crasnick tweeted the other day that the Yanks are now looking into free agent left-hander Jeff Francis.

If the Yanks don't bolster their rotation, A-Rod would do well to enjoy his vacation while it lasts, because it's likely going to be a long season.

Will the Yankees struggle in 2011? Well, it's obviously way too early to speculate on that. But nonetheless, Bleacher Report has 50 Bold MLB Predictions for 2011 for your reading pleasure.
