Kaval: Another Example Of WWE Fans Overhyping New Signees

Future world champion.

That's the tag that everyone receives when they sign with WWE.

Kenny Dykstra had the tag even before he split up with the Spirit Squad. Vance Archer had the tag despite never being able to break past the TNA mid-card division. It seems like everyone that gets called up is slapped with the label.

Kaval received the label as well once he won the second season of NXT.

Many had assumed that Kaval was going to do big things in WWE when he signed his developmental contract. Even when he was stuck down in Florida for longer than he should have been, the hope was still there. When he was given a push with the NXT win, the hype grew even louder.

WWE fans hyped up Kaval and his heralded ring skills. These are the same ring skills that were neglected when he was wrestling under the TNA banner. It was also the same ring skills that were ignored while he was working for Ring of Honor and other independent wrestling promotions.

The moment that he signed a WWE contract was when he was finally given the credit that he deserves.

The hype was deserved and undeserved at the same time.

Well, now we will never know. Kaval has been released by WWE. The company never gave him a chance to show what he could truly do.
