Ohio State Football Suspensions: Terrelle Pryor among those suspended
Jim Tressel just said he doesn't know what's in the mind of a 19-year old, but speculated that it might be, 'I'm going to win a few more of these things (championship rings, which were among the items sold), so I'm going to help out my family."
He's intimating that schools and the NCAA should do a better job of taking care of student-athletes, perhaps financially.
Tressel said the whole situation was stressful and gut-wrenching.
Athletic director Gene Smith thanked Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delaney, who previously worked at the NCAA, for helping Ohio State to self-report and keep the suspensions out of the Sugar Bowl.
There is an ongoing investigation of the tattoo parlor owner, Smith said.
