GAME NOTES: Byrd, 7-1 since July 21, will face Brandon McCarthy, the Rangers’ return for John Danks. Returning from Tommy John surgery, McCarthy’s had some recent work with Nolan Ryan and will look to give the Rangers a series win. Can Paul Byrd stop him?
