WWE: Why John Cena Should Stay Out of The Main Event Scene

WWE Title Matches are Less Predictable
Cena gets beat up the whole match.
His opponent goes for his finisher, Cena reverses it, and then gives them his "devastating" five knuckle shuffle followed by an Attitude Adjustment or STF for the win.
This happens almost every time John Cena is in a title match, and in the end, he wins his rivalries.
Many when watching a match like this hope that it doesn't happen, but in the back of our minds we all know he will most likely win.
With Cena out of the title picture things suddenly become less predictable.
When Cena is in a title match whoever his opponent is we can almost automatically tell, because we know Vince wouldn't let them go over Cena cleanly.
When Cena is not in contention for the title it becomes hard to decide who you think will win, therefore making the match more interesting.
Fresh New Faces in the Main Event
How many of you think we would have John Morrison vs The Miz for the WWE title at the Royal Rumble if Cena wasn't feuding with Nexus the past six months?
With Cena ridden from the WWE title for awhile, fresh young superstars actually get to show that they can be main eventers.
That means all the fresh new talent that the WWE is getting on the roster lately could actually get a chance to shine.
This could help many people that have been held back on Raw for way to long.
He Has Other Good Things To Do
It's true he has other things he could do that would be better then him pursuing the WWE title.
I was very excited to see this last Monday and Tuesday that CM Punk will be feuding with John Cena.
It also made me think: Why does Cena need a title to create great moments and have memorable feuds?
I believe he doesn't.
If this feud works out, it could be a shoe-in for rivalry of the year.
He is very reversible and is very good at being a face and heel, and could switch between them as much as he wanted to—although I see him staying face for a long time.
Even as a face he has some very good rivalries he could have with people like Punk, Ryder, Tyson Kidd, Dolph Ziggler and any other good heel.
He could even have a feud for the US title.
He has many other things he could be doing rather then hogging the main event scene.
WWE Title Will Stop Being A Prop
When John Cena becomes WWE champ it loses its prestige because it becomes a prop.
From the cheesy "The champ is here!" line to the announcers refering to him as "The Champ" the WWE title is almost part of his gimmick.
The WWE title is to John Cena what the Million Dollar Championship is to Ted Dibiase.
The WWE Championship, argued as the most prestigious title in WWE history, should never ever be just a prop to someone.
I think that the WWE title should be a life long dream coming true to the superstar that holds it.
I just don't see that when Cena is holding it, and the only way to fix that is to keep him away from it for awhile.
It Will Prove Vince Cares About Other Superstars
John Cena is teachers pet to Vince McMahon.
Yes John Cena has worked his butt of for him and deserves respect.
Yet it seems sometimes John Cena is Vince's absolute favorite and doesn't care about anybody else, with the exception of a few.
What better way to show that he actually cares about all of his superstars then to keep Cena away from the title for awhile and let others get a chance?
