ESPN's Man Crush with Tom Brady: For Worse

James SenbetaCorrespondent ISeptember 7, 2008

Oh whoa is us for we have lost our football hero, so says ESPN.

They act like the league can’t move on without Tom Brady. Most times it’s the other way around with Brett Favre as a recent example. It's not like the NFL couldn't move on without Joe Montana, Barry Sanders, Jerry Rice, Cris Carter, Dan Marino, John Elway, Jerome Bettis, or Curtis Martin.

Is a blizzard going to bury New England at this very instant? Maybe a flurry of boos if the Patriots stink it up against the Jets next Sunday.

Michael Turner rushes for 220 yards with two touchdowns to help Atlanta beat Detroit 34-21. “How’s your pillow Mr. Brady? Would you like anything else?”

Donovan McNabb returns to his old self passing for 361 yards, three touchdowns, and no turnovers to lead the Eagles in a blowout. “Here’s the cheese. Can we make the whine?”

Brett Favre makes another miracle touchdown pass for the Jets to win against the Dolphins 20-14. "You are still No. 1 Tom!"

With the way ESPN sounds I want to know which cemetery the burial will be.
