Experts all off season have been saying that the New England Patriots will not fall into the category of the "Super Bowl Curse" because of their all star offense that is led by Tom Brady. Problem is that Tom Brady has gone down with a SEASON ENDING injury. Sure Matt Casel may have had a decent fill in for Tom Brady but what history has shown with him the Patriots may have a bit of a problem. Teams that ended up losing the Supe

r Bowl the past year have ended up going under .500 and not making it to the post season, unless your the Seahawks. Matt Cassel is no Tom Brady! Yet there is an ominous tone to this situation. Brett Favre took over for and injured QB in week 3 of the regular season dosen't let it go till this year, and Tom Brady took over for an injured Drew Bledsole and never let it go. There of course is no way that he will ever win the start over Tom Brady, but of course no-one ever thought that the Bears would beat the Colts in their season opener. The only QB that I can think of that has successfully taken over for an injured superstar that isn't Tom Brady and had taken their team to the post season is HOF Steve Young.  The Patriots have an aging defense that has definitly looked better, and a depleated recieving core with the loss od Daunte Stallworth.
