Through three quarters, the Panthers have only gained 102 total offensive yards. They are in real danger of not breaking 150 yards for the entire game. So far, the Steelers defense is pitching a shutout.

The Panthers can't move the ball consistently through the air or on the ground. It is looking very likely that the Panthers will not be able to score on this Steelers' defense. No one expected much out of Jimmy Clausen. However, Jonathan Stewart has been averaging 115 rushing yards per game over the span of the last four games. No one in the NFL has matched his production during this period of time. So far tonight, Stewart has only gained 53 yards.

The Panthers are going to need to win this game through the air, but that is a tall task for a rookie quarterback. Look for more of the same in the fourth quarter.
