Rashard Mendenhall twice failed to punch it in for a touchdown from the Panthers' 1-yard-line. So, on 3rd-and-goal, Roethlisberger kept the ball and scored the touchdown himself. The Steelers's offensive line just over-powered the Carolina front-seven. The Steelers have surprisingly kept the play-calling rather aggressive, making several key plays through the air.

This is the game that most fans expected to see. The Steelers are dominating the Panthers in all facets of the game. One of the biggest surprises in this match-up is that the Steelers have onlt sacked Jimmy Clausen three times so far. Carolina's offensive line gives up more sacks and quarterback hits than the Steelers' offensive line does, and the Steelers offensive line isn't a particularly strong unit.

At some point, Pittsburgh should start to shift to a more conservative offensive game-plan. Mendenhall is running the ball well and Pittsburgh will want to shorten the game.
