Panthers Vs. Steelers: Did Roethlisberger Suffer Another Broken Nose?
Ben Roethlisberger is on the Steelers sideline surrounded by trainers. There appears to be blood coming from his left nostril. The trainers are furiously trying to stop the bleeding with gauze. He was slow to get up after he was sacked on a 3rd-and-18 attempt earlier in the game.
Roethlisberger is known for playing through injuries. However, this can't be good new for the Steelers. He had his nose surgically repaired less than three weeks ago after it was broken by Ravens' defensive end Haloti Ngata. Ngata was fined $15,000 for the hit.
Roethlisberger has yet to miss a snap, but he doesn't look as sharp as he did earlier in the game. He was charged with a fumble lost when he botched a snap from Maurkice Pouncey. This is the time of year that they need Ben Roethlisberger in tip-top shape. But despite making a couple good plays, he is playing as if something is bothering him.
