Panthers Vs. Steelers Thursday Night Football: Clausen Pick Leads To Steelers TD
Jimmy Clausen tried to go deep on first down, but overthrew his receiver. The football ended up in the hands of Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Bryant McFadden. The Panthers do not need to give the Steelers free possessions.
Ben Roethlisberger and Mike Wallace made the Panthers pay for Clausen's mistake with a 43-yard touchdown pass-and-catch. The Panthers now trail 10-0. They are letting the game slip away and this could turn into a blowout very quickly if the Panthers' offense can't get something going on their next drive.
Pittsburgh couldn't be happier with the way this game is unfolding. They control their own destiny in the AFC North. If they can easily dispatch the Panthers, only Cleveland will stand between the Steelers and the AFC North title. The Steelers can clinch the title this week if Baltimore loses to Cleveland this weekend.
