Las Vegas Bowl 2010: Boise State Looks To Regain Respect
Las Vegas Bowl 2010 is certainly not the venue the Boise State Broncos were aiming for a few weeks ago.
With their 10-0 start they were hoping to assert their case as the first non-BCS school to play in a BCS Championship game. Of course the chances of that happening died on a Friday night in Reno, losing to Nevada in overtime.
But, after thumping Utah State, they still have a bowl game to play. And a win over the Utah Utes would give head coach Chris Peterson a third bowl win in five years.
More importantly, it would help their standing for next season, when they hope to once again climb the rankings: a crushing win over 10-win Utah will certainly help them with next August's pre-season ranking.
