A huge upset for a team that was sure to beat a Steve Smith-less Carolina Panthers team.
It was a big day for the Carolina Panthers as they upset one of last years best AFC teams which includes some of the NFL's most talented players, such as Ladainian Tomlinson, Antonio Gates, Antonio Cromartie, etc.
The scoring madness all started with a John Kasay field goal to start up the Panthers with a three point lead.
The game goes on as a determined Charger offense takes the field, and Philip Rivers bombs a beauty to a brilliant receiver, Chris Chambers. It was a 44-yard TD catch.

With the Score at 9-10 in the third quarter River finds Antonio Gates for a first down, but then coughs up the rock, leaving Chris Gamble to return this 31 yards to the house!
19-10 Fourth quarter and Philip Rivers with an impressive TD pass to Gates for a redeeming lead and after that another TD pass for Rivers this time to Vincent Jackson to make a 24-19 lead in the fourth with 2:27 left in the game.
You would think that San Diego would have this game in the books by now, but that is not the case.
An impressive drive down the field with Jake Delhomme and company.. without Steve Smith.. against the Chargers Defense.. with 2 seconds left and a 4th and 1 Delhomme looks.. fires.. AND IN THE BACK OF THE END ZONE HE FINDS DANTE ROSARIO FOR A REMARKABLE, OUTSTANDING, IMPOSSIBLE WIN!
What a Game!
