Houston Texans

Brian Cushing: A Personal Foul Of a Personal Nature

Todd WashburnContributor IDecember 20, 2010

Sometimes you just have to laugh at athletes and their sometimes over-competitve nature.  For the second time this year, the Tennessee Titans are a part of a round-two televised football fight....but wait a second: They weren't involved?  No Andre Johnson, no Courtland Finnegan, a new fight card.

Sunday's revenge butt-whooping of the Houston Texans at the hands of the Tennessee Titans had tempers flared.

Texans linebacker Brian Cushing and defensive lineman Antonio Smith scuffled in the final seconds of the second quarter. Although teammates and officials intervened before it got as violent as Johnson vs. Finnegan, Cushing did get a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty because his helmet came off in the skirmish.

Your own team? YOUR OWN TEAM? Smith was trying to break up the incident and you shove him? What in the hell is wrong with you?

As Champ Kind, sports reporter from the movie Anchorman would say, "Whaaaaammmyyyy!"

Where can I comment?
