Manchester City's new signing Robinho has issued a warning to Chelsea.

Robinho admitted it was his first intention to join Chelsea after deciding to leave Real Madrid.

The Brazilian blasted the Blues for failing to sign him.

"It is Real's fault that I did not sign for Chelsea, but it is also Chelsea'a fault."

He praised Manchester City's ambitions and believes he has a big future ahead of him.

"They have some big players like Jo and Elano and their offer to me shows they want to be the biggest club in the world."

Robinho has revealed he will make Chelsea regret that they did not try harder to sign him.

"I don't think they managed it very well, They waited until the last minute and it turned out badly for them."

"My head was at Chelsea but now that is forgotten. I know Scolari is upset with me but these things happen."

"When I play against them I will show that they were wrong not to raise their offer."

"City presented the offer five hours before the deadline and until then I had not been thinking about them at all."

Chelsea..Is this a case of deja uu?

  1. I'm looking forward to the City v Chelsea game. Hopefully Robinho will perform well and show City/Chelsea/the Premier League what he can do.

  2. Revenge FOR WHAT!! The fact that we didnt pay over the odds for you ? Get over yourself ,your not worth 33M and I am glad we didnt give in to that overinflated value ...

  3. sorry salomon but chelsea also bid the same as city you was to late thou im afriad and robinho told fat phil NO on the phone he said ur to late uve messed me about to much and took to long im joining city

so ye u did offer the over inflated value (but its only over inflated if u cant afford it yes?) rom moved aside out of respect for who he was bidding against he knew he would never win in the money stakes you bid 1m we bid 2m etc

so b4 all you chelsea fans come out and slag him off, think about it if you signed him he would be the best player on the planet yes? but cos he chose city over chelsea then hes not worth a pot to piss in?

get over it chelsea uve had ur day and us city fans enjoyed it almost as much as u chelsea fans for the simple fact it stopped the swamp dwellers winning the league just a shame terry missed that pen last year

    1. Err no, Chelsea offered £29million, more than a fair price, Real consistently stalled until Man City offered £32.5mil, which they only accepted as they did not want to Chelsea, who didn't match the bid as they knew that Real didn't want to sell to them. Robinho may be a good player, but to be honest, he's a whining bitch, and I'm glad he didn't join Chelsea.

Just a word of warning, you may think (as the new owners seem to) that it'll be the easiest thing in the world, to go out, buy a bunch of good players and go and win the league. BUT, you will get no-where without harmony in the squad. That includes a top-class manager (Hughes will likely be sacked before the start of next season) and and harmonious squad that know how to play together. This will take time, as well as money, so don't get ahead of yourself just yet.

Oh and seeing as no doubt the whole world will start hating Man City fans, if they even get near to what their owners promise to do, you may want to tone down the whole arrogant thing. It's hardly being a great ambassador for your club. I know that, as a Chelsea fan...been there, got the T-shirt.

    2. Show me an article that proves we were willing to the overinflated price and i'll take back what I said..

Correction. Overinflated means when something is valued much higher than it should be. Regardless

of the fact of whether we could afford him or not.

Sevilla last year wanted something close to 35M for Daniel Alves while we were only willing to pay

something in the region of 25M. That was an overinflated price and Chelsea did not give in to it.

I am not slagging Robinho off for choosing City and I do think he has the potential to be the best in

the world. But him saying he is "out for revenge" makes it sound Chelsea insulted him or did

something really bad to him, when in fact we just werent willing to pay over the odds for him.

Me thinking that he isnt worth 33M doesnt mean i am slagging him off. Very few players are worth that

much and he isnt one of them. It is simple as that really ..... Now read carefully before you make

another 'off the wall' comment ...

  4. You can't really be arguing over £3m lol

The fact is, if I was a City fan I'd be upset at just how upset Robinho is that he ended up in Manchester!

    1. Well those 3M means that we either gave in to the overinflated price or we didnt. As a Chelsea fan, the fact that we didnt means a lot to me ...

    2. So why isn't £29m over priced? Did someone call Christies auction house for a valuation?

    3. I would say that £25M is a reasonable price for Robinho. 2-3M below or above that is probably acceptable for both sides I presume.. So £29 isnt exactly that much inflated when you look at it from this perpective.. When we offered £29M, I thought that was pretty reasonable but Real wanted a further 4M, which was unacceptable...

Either way, Chelsea will surely find a replacement and most likely it'll be Arshavin ...

  5. If Robinho blows the EPL away and Chelsea etc. start sniffing around again, will the price not be higher again.

You dont have to have an abundance of brain matter to know that Robinho aint going to be a city player for the rest of career. He'll no doubt play his heart out and within a year/ 2 years look for a move to Chelsea/Manchester United etc.....Will Chelsea then look to pay that overinflated price??.......I think they might.......
