WWE TLC 2010 Results: Edge Wins 10th World Title, The Miz Retains

Hello everyone, Andre Harrison here and I'll be covering TLC which literally just went off the air, with results and a review.

The Miz had to defend his WWE Championship against Randy Orton, there was a Fatal-4-Way between Edge, Kane, Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio and John Cena faced Wade Barrett in a Chairs Match.

Let's get down to it!

Dolph Ziggler vs. Jack Swagger vs. Kofi Kingston (Triple Threat Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Championship)

Result: Dolph Ziggler retains after picking up the ladder off of the floor (9:00)

Harrison's Analysis: A fun opener.

All three guys took some big bumps and it was rather exciting. Vickie Guerrero played her role very well as well.

Just a shame, it was so short as it could have been a show stealer—there's a reason for that now, which I'll get to in a second...

Harrison Match Rating: *** Stars

Natalya and Beth Phoenix vs. Michelle McCool and Layla (Divas Tag Team Tables Match)

Result: Natalya and Beth win after Natalya splashed on Team Laycool through a table. (9:30)

Harrison's Analysis: I know...a Divas Match gets nearly 10 minutes. Strange, eh?

There was some minor scares when Beth took a really nasty fall on the back of her neck, but she was okay and despite the botch at the end, Natalya's improvisation actually made it better.

A good women's match.

Sheamus vs John Morrison (No. 1 Contenders Ladder Match)

Result: John Morrison wins by grabbing the contract. (19:10)

Harrison's Analysis: THIS is why the other ladder match was so short. And BOY, did this deliver.

An outstanding performance from both guys, as Morrison took some major bumps, there was innovation, great storytelling, superb selling from Morrison's knee and some big spots.

Everything you could want from a Ladder Match. Fantastic career-defining performance from both guys.

Harrison Match Rating: **** ¼ Stars

Vladimir Kozlov and Santino Marella vs. Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater (Tag Team Championship Match)

Result: Kozlov and Marella win by DQ (6:30)

Harrison's Analysis: I stand by what I said—Harrison refuses to comment on Tag Team Matches until the division is fixed.

Let's move along.

The Miz vs. Randy Orton (Tables Match for the WWE Championship Match)

Result: The Miz retains after Alex Riley threw Orton into a table (15:15)

Harrison's Analysis: A very cleverly booked match.

The action was fine, and I liked the swerve where they restarted the match after the ref saw the video replay and restarted.

It was predictable, but it kept the crowd going. And Michael Cole was hilarious, b****ing about the restart. Nice stuff overall.

Harrison Match Rating: *** ¼ Stars

Kane vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Edge (Fatal-4-Way Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match for the World Heavyweight Championship)

Result: Edge wins after spearing Kane through a table and grabbing the title (22:45)

Harrison's Analysis: GREAT TLC.

The bumps were crazy and there were no mess-ups. Everyone did what they needed to do and in the end, it came together to be a very good match.

Del Rio's bump off of the ladder through a table has to be seen to be believed. Bonkers stuff.

Congrats to Edge for his tenth World Championship.

Harrison Match Rating: **** Stars

John Cena vs Wade Barrett (Chairs Match)

Result: John Cena wins after an Attitude Adjustment on eight chairs. (19:10)

Harrison's Analysis: Nope, no idea why this was last either. Still a pretty good match.

Great storytelling as Cena did a good job of making Barrett look good. It came off worse than it actually was, due to that horrid Big Show and Rhodes segment beforehand.

At least the crowd got sent home happy.

Good match to close the show, especially as Edge's title win did come off as a little flat, and the fans get sent home happy.

Harrison Match Rating: *** ½ Stars

Harrison's Final Analysis on WWE TLC 2010

Overall, a solid showing from the WWE.

A great ladder match, a great TLC, Cena vs Barrett and even Miz v Orton were all pretty good.

Niggles like the booking and pacing of the show were a little head-scraching, but overall, a good showing from the WWE.

Let the road to Wrestlemania begin! Thanks for reading!

Harrison's Overall TLC 2010 Rating: 7.5 out of 10 Very Good
