Jim Caldwell and the Indianapolis Colts kept their playoff hopes alive, defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars 34-24 in thrilling fashion.

The Jaguars came within three with 1:54 remaining but were unsuccessful converting an onside kick, which was returned for a touchdown by Tyjuan Hagler for 41-yards and the touchdown, putting the Colts up for good, 34-24.

The Colts needed the victory to gain a game on the Jaguars and put their destiny in their own hands. If Indy wins out, they win the AFC South and will host a first round playoff game.

The ball is in the Colts' court and with games at Oakland and at home against the Titans, Indianapolis will need to take the same determined approach into each of the final two contests, as they did today against Jacksonville.

Peyton Manning threw for 229 yards and two touchdowns on 29-of-39 passing. Donald Brown rushed for 129 yards, a career and season-high, which included a 43-yard touchdown run. Austin Collie, before leaving the game with another concussion, caught eight passes for 87 yards and two touchdowns.

David Garrard threw for 294 yards and two touchdowns on 24-of-38 passing. Maurice Jones-Drew only gained 46 yards on 15 carries and had two catches for 22 yards. The Jags' leading receiver was running back Rashad Jennings who caught seven passes for 64 yards. Mike Sims-Walker chipped in with four catches for 44 yards and two touchdowns.

The Jaguars will host the Washington Redskins next week and play the Houston Texans in week 17.
