WWE: 20 Best and Worst In 2010

As we look to the new year and the joy that it will bring, I for one like to look back and see what were the best and worst moments of the previous one. So in this slide show I will review my 20 best and worst moments of WWE in 2010.

I understand that some people see things differently and might not agree with all of my points, but I would just like to mention that this was done in fun, so please do not take it too seriously. Now that the introduction is out of the way, let's get started.

Con #20: Hart Feud

Tyson Kidd vs. David Hart Smith

Now I love the Hart Dynasty, but I have no idea what is going on here, and for a long time I had no idea who the heel was supposed to be.

I also felt that it was too soon for the young team to split, and that's why it gets the No. 20 spot.

Pro #20: No More Deadweight

Version 1.0 Matt Hardy

In 2010, many wrestlers who I felt were going down a dead end got the cut: MVP, Matt Hardy, Luke Gallows and Shad to name a few.

However, I feel this is for the best, as it opens up new doors for them in other companies and allows the youth movement to continue.

Con #19: Daniel Bryan Fired

Poor Justin Roberts

This moment would rank higher on the naughty list if Daniel Bryan didn't get rehired back but he did so I can't be too mad about this.

For those who live under a rock and don't know what happened: the American Dragon got the axe this past summer after the Nexus attack because he "tied" up ring announcer Justin Roberts.

He was then fired, but he returned at SummerSlam.

Pro #19: King Gets a Shot

The King vs. The Miz

This is No. 19 because for one it was a total surprise, two it was a TLC match and three it was a pretty good match considering an old man is competing.

It was great to see Jerry finally get a shot, even if everybody knew he had no chance of winning.

Con #18: The Big Push

The Crazy Big Show

This makes the list because it made no sense. The Big Show for the last six months dominated everyone he stepped in the ring with and the result is no title shot, no major feud and all I have to say is why.

There was no need for the Show to get a push and in the end, I find out it was for nothing.

Pro #18: HBK Says Bye

HBK Farewell Speech

This past WrestleMania Shawn and Taker had another great match and the Showstopper lost. This meant he had to retire, which he did the following RAW.

Con #17: Too Many Three-Hour Raws

WWE

This one is very simple, too many three-hour RAWs. It just becomes a hassle to watch.

Pro #17: BREEEEET!

Bret Hart Returns

Bret "The Hitman" Hart returns, and that's all I have to say.

Con #16: David Otunga

David loves New York!

It isn't Otunga himself that gets on my nerves but the thought of guys who aren't very talented getting ahead because of their fame, connections or in this case, marriage.

Pro #16: No More GMs

Piven jumps Cena

While a guest GM drops by every now and then, at least they don't make matches and there are a lot fewer dumb skits, so that's a step in the right direction.

Con #15: Divas Botch Too Much

I like when the bell ringed the 2nd time

I think every one at this point uses the diva matches as bathroom breaks but sometimes we watch them and this happens.

Pro #15: Kane Wins Money In The Bank and World Title

Kane Wins

After a dozen years in mid-card land, the Big Red Machine takes the gold for the second time in his career. Congratz to Kane.

Con #14: Cena

NXT

The problem that I have with the NXT is that how am I supposed to judge who is "better" if a wrestler is supposed to lose a match from the get go. It's like voting for the next American Idol but the contestants are sucking on purpose.

And the Cena "firing," am I supposed to believe that he is actually fired? What I am saying is that I don't like when WWE attempts to try and make things realistic because if it was truly realistic nobody would be getting up from that many hits to the head?

Pro #14: Santino Marella Is Too Funny

Who says funny doesn't sell? Santino Marella is gold and some nights the best thing on RAW. Thank you.

Con #13: Kane Vs. Taker Feud

Night of Champions Match

I love both Kane and the Undertaker, but this feud was horrible. The matches were bad and Undertaker showed his age and why he must retire soon.

I also want to add that during one of their matches a "we want blood" chant broke out, which I found very amusing.

Pro #13: Perfection

Ziggler the Champ

Dolph Ziggler gets his singles belt after a year of searching.

He is a great addition to the WWE roster and a future champ. Best of luck.

Con #12: Tag Division

The new Tag Team Titles

Ten years ago, this division was great with awesome teams like the Hardyz, Edge and Christian, Dudley Boyz, APA, New Age Outlaws, Kane and X-Pac, and the Rock n' Sock Connection.

Cut to 10 years later we have...the Usos and Santino/Kozlov. Epic Face Palm.

Pro #12: Mic Skill

GOLD

The Miz, Y2J and CM Punk are gold on the mic and every time they hit the ramp, you know you are going to be entertained.

I didn't put up a clip for this one because I couldn't make up my mind, so go on YouTube and find one yourself.

Con #11: RAW GM

The GM

This is possibly the lamest thing the creative staff came up with and is very obvious that they have no direction for this "character."

The unknown GM has gone on for way too long and it will be a major let down unless it turns out it was the Rock the whole time.

But even then, it will be too difficult to explain why some decisions were made the way they were.

Pro #11: Smackdown

The Down!

After it was made public that Smackdown will be switching to Syfy, all of the major talent got placed into RAW.

That meant that all the young talent had two hours a week to showcase their skill and boy, did they. Some great performances all around by the roster.

Con #10: John Cena In Every Main Event

John Cena being a tool

I don't care about Cena, and every time he is on TV, I change the channel.

But I hate the fact that he is in the main event even when he isn't a champ.

By doing this, the WWE is saying that Cena > WWE title which isn't true.

Pro #10: Old School Raw

RAW is WAR

Now I know that I bashed three-hour RAWs earlier, but this one was done right.

I loved the old set and ring, the Hall of Famers and the great referee outfits.

Con #9: A Wasted Rumble

Royal Rumble 2010

As you know Edge won the Royal Rumble which meant he got a title shot at Wrestle Mania.

He lost the match which didn't bother me because I figured they would push Jericho, but then Y2J loses the title four days later.

So he loses at Mania and then the champ gets taken out in less than a week. What a waste.

Pro #9: A Strong Champ

Hell in the Cell Win

Daniel Bryan not only won the US title but has been a wrecking ball ever since, taking out everyone in his path.

Good to see great talent getting a giant push.

Con #8: Legendary / Knucklehead Ads

One of the worst things this year was the stupid movie promos; did anybody even watch these movies?

Horrible.

Pro #8: Nattie Wins

Win

Natalya wins the Divas title which automatically brings some honor and prestige to the belt. She is Canadian and so am I, so its always nice to see a fellow Canadian win.

Con #7: Punk Gets Buried

Why?

Punk got buried this year. He lost just about every PPV match, no title, got shaved, had his group disbanded and was taken out by Big Show and Taker. There is no point to this.

Pro #7: Punk Is Gold

Punk > Cole

This guy had one thing go right for him this year and that was commentary.

He is great behind the desk, and I for one can't wait until next Monday.

Con #6: Too Many PPVs

WWE PPV

There were way too many PPVs and a lot were average at best. At one point, there was three in a five-week span. Cut it down to one a month, please.

Pro #6: Daniel Bryan Returns

GDYC!

Bryan returned at NXT and made my day by beating on announcer Michael Cole. Yes!

Con #5: Serena

Serena

This poor girl got fired because she was not acting straight edge on the road. Does this mean that the Undertaker acts dead at the movies, does Triple H hit people in the face with sledge hammers at the super market, and does Randy Orton punt women in the head at his kids' school?

I hope not, but using WWE logic, they should all be fired at once.

Pro #5: King Of The Ring

The High King

I loved the King of the Ring when I was a kid, and I loved watching it again with my little brother this year.

Con #4: Laycool

"Everybody Shut Up" - CM Punk

I would rather beat the crap out of a newborn baby than watch LayCool. Yeah!

Pro #4: Age Of AWWWEEEESSSOOOMMMEEEEEE

MIZ WIS!

My guy wins! My guys never win.

I always pick a guy like Billy Gunn, Christian and Owen Hart when they debut but they never won until now.

I know a lot of people hate this guy, but I love heels.

Con #3: Sit Down For The WWE!

Pro #3: New Blood

Jack vs. Kofi

You have to love the fact that these young guys are getting pushes. They are green but fun to watch.

WWE, pat yourself on the back.

Con #2: COLE!

And I Qoute!

I don't mind heel commentators, but he takes it too far. He overshadows the whole show and isn't funny like the King was.

Pro #2: They Listen!

I love CM Punk

The WWE listened to the fans. We wanted new faces and we got Swagger, Ziggler, The Miz, Del Rio, Drew, Cody, Ted, Kofi... we wanted the guest GMs gone and they are, we wanted Bryan rehired and he was brought back, we wanted Cena fired and he technically was, I guess.
