The University of Iowa is hosting a press conference this morning, presumably to discuss the state of the football program and the rumors of a possible drug scandal that may involve upward of 20 players on the team.

Iowa athletic director Gary Barta and head coach Kirk Ferentz are expected to conduct the press conference. It is not known if school president Sally Mason will be in attendance.

So far in the past week, star wide receiver Derrell Johnson-Koulianos was arrested on six drug charges and for keeping a drug house, sophomore running back Jewel Hampton left the team and fellow soph Adam Robinson was ruled out of the Insight Bowl by Ferentz.

We'll know more about the extent of what's going on in just a few minutes.
