I feel very weird reporting this, as I am sure you would, but I have to do it. WWE superstar Santino Marella has been named best new funny man in the WWE.
He is probably the funniest the WWE has ever had in my opinion. Shawn Stasiak is really the first guy the WWE developed in this role—the guy that can't really win and when he does he has that over-the-top performance thing.
But they didn't like him and he wasn't that good on the mic, so they released him in 2002. And when Santino came along with that Italian accent the WWE creative got...well...creative and made him the sort of likable heel. They took a chance, but it paid off, as you can see.
Former WWE superstar Lance Storm said that he was the best funny man he has ever seen in wrestling, and I sort of agree.
This will be another thing Santino can brag about. He is now a two-time Intercontinental Champion, so we have to give him new material. Dang.
Well, all I know he will say is "I am the wiener, I am the wiener."

for me he is the wurst interconternentel champion ever and he isnt even funny he's very prodicterble in his commerdy and is quiet frankly anoiying.

Oh come on...tell me you didn't laugh out loud when Santino threatened to "open up a can of ass whip" on somebody. Or turn someone into "deaf meat". Don't know if Santino writes his own stuff or not, but he's one of the bright spots on RAW.
Stasiak had to go when he did the whole "Planet Stasiak" rhyming thing. Whoever thought that crap up deserved to be covered in honey and put on a fire ant hill.

I know he wasn't very good, and management noticed, he still wrestles but for indepenedants. Santino is funny I love to watch him, its like a guilty pleasure, I don't want to but I just have to

I'm not embarrased to admit Santino is not only funny but a highlight on RAW.
Sue he cant wrestle like A shawn michaels, but people forget Roddy Piper was a brawler and look how entertaining he was because of his personality.
Steve Austin has high praise for Santino from what I've read.
Not only did he pre-approve of where Santino was taking the anlge of ragging on the Condemened, he has been quoted as saying santino is an entertaining guy and great to work with.
He reminds me of Kurt Angle as far as personality when Angle first came to WWE in 2000.
Angle was the funniest guy in WWE in 2000.
Then he went and got all serious.
You know if this was 1987 Santino would be one of the top stars.
2 time intercontinetal champion aint bad.
But I think Santino is over even if he isnt always winning.
He has an "It" factor and an intangiable.
I dont know if he'll ever be a world champion, but he's sure got my vote as the most entertaining star on RAW.
