There have been a lot of rumors circulating today about pending suspensions for Iowa football.  Adam Rittenberg of ESPN tweeted that there will be suspensions issued, but he did not want to speculate on “# of players.”

Last week, Iowa football career receiving leader Derrell Johnson-Koulianos was dismissed from the team following drug charges, and 2009 freshman standout Brandon Wegher announced he would not return to the University of Iowa.  Wegher left the team for undisclosed personal reasons.

More to come, if this story develops.

Update

Rittenberg says there will be a press conference tomorrow at 10:00 A.M. CT.

Adam Robinson will not be in the bowl game.  Jewel Hampton will transfer.
