World Junior Hockey Championships: Canada 2, Slovakia 0
Team Canada was in action once again today, and once again they kept their opponents scoreless.Kyle Turris scored two goals while goaltender Steve Mason stopped 22 shots in a 2-0 win over Slovakia.
Both Turris goals came on power plays. If it weren’t for the fine play of Slovak goaltender Julius Hudacek, Canada’s victory would’ve come by a larger margin.
This is the 20th consecutive victory for Canada in the Worlds Juniors, a tournament record. Canada will have a day off before facing Sweden on Saturday.
