The Metrodome collapse has changed up tonight's schedule in the NFL.
The Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants will share the spotlight with Baltimore and Houston, after the Metrodome's inflatable roof collapsed in a snowstorm early Sunday morning. Metrodome officials told the NFL the roof couldn't be fixed in time for a game today or tomorrow, and four other sites had been considered, including the University of Minnesota's outdoor stadium.
The game has been switched to Ford Field in Detroit and is scheduled for kickoff at 7:20 p.m. Eastern. Camera crews were already at the stadium for the Lions' victory over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
"There are still a lot of logistics up in the air, but we will do everything we can to make this a quality NFL game for the Vikings and Giants," Lions President Tom Lewand said.
Tonight's game marks the first Monday NFL contest at Ford Field and first in Michigan since the Pontiac Silverdome hosted one in 2001.
