The Cubs are fearing the worst as Carlos Zambrano, who was scheduled to have an MRI done Wednesday, skipped it and also was a no-show at Wrigley for the game.

It is said to be his right shoulder but the extent of the injury and the time table to how long he maybe out is still up in the air. Zambrano is scheduled to have a MRI done Thursday afternoon sometime and the Cubs will know more.

I think the Cubs know exactly what is going on and are not being truthful about this matter. When asked about how the Cubs will do without Zambrano for the stretch run, Lou said, "Sean Marshall can pitch well for us.

"He pitched well down the stretch last September. And in the games he pitched this season, he did well also."

Also Lou acknowledged that Rich Harden indeed has been experiencing discomfort and that was the reason to why he was not going to be starting until at least September 10th against St. Louis.

Why do the Cubs have to be so secretive to the media and the fans about injuries and other matter surrounding them?
