NFL Week 14 Picks: Cleveland Browns vs. Buffalo Bills Prediction
Cleveland and Buffalo are two teams certainly out of the playoff picture in 2010, but they've both had promising moments to potentially build on in the remainder of this season and heading into a potential 2011 campaign.
Colt McCoy is out injured for this week's game and the Browns turn again to interception-prone veteran quarterback Jake Delhomme. Delhomme had a clean performance last week in the Browns' comeback win over the Miami Dolphins, and he'll need to repeat that type of performance against the Bills in order for the Browns to pull out a road victory.
Buffalo is officially eliminated from playoff contention, and they played an extremely sloppy game a week ago against the Vikings, turning the ball over five teams and committing three person foul penalties in an ugly 38-14 loss. Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick has been a bright spot for the Bills, and he'll need a big game if the Bills are going to come away with a win this week.
I expect the running games to decide this game. The Bills have been the worst team at stopping the run in the NFL, and I think that's the main reason why the Browns should win this week. Peyton Hillis is a beast on the ground, and will be running with added purpose considering he's only 30+ yards away from 1,000 on the season.
The weather is expected to be nasty, a potential mix of snow and rain, and therefore running the ball becomes even more important. Hence, why I like the Browns winning at Buffalo.
My Prediction: Cleveland Browns 23, Buffalo Bills 14
