Brett Favre: NY Giants vs. Minnesota Vikings Delayed By Snow, Will QB Play?
The latest news out of Minnesota is that Brett Favre will get another day to rest his injured shoulder.
The Vikings game against the New York Giants on Sunday has been move to Monday after the Giants' flight was diverted to Kansas City as a result of a blizzard at the Twin Cities. Excessive snow on the Minnesota Metrodome roof has also been cited as a reason for the delay in the game.
Favre is officially listed as questionable for the upcoming game. Now that he has an extra game to rest, it looks like Favre has a much better chance of playing in his 298th consecutive game to extend his NFL iron man streak.
"We just wanted to see him go through the motion" of throwing, interim coach Leslie Frazier told the Minnesota Star Tribune. "The fact that he felt comfortable at least releasing the football [was important]. ... That was his concern. Being able to get through that final motion without a great deal of pain. In his mind that's going to determine whether or not he's going to end up playing on Sunday."
