Alabama Gets Nico Johnson, Top Five Linebacker Recruit

Fresh off a dominating performance in the Georgia Dome against ACC favorite Clemson, Bama gets another big payday, this time in the form of All-Everything High School senior linebacker Nico Johnson from Andalusia, Ala.

He's been a big Alabama "lean" for quite some time, so this shouldn't really shock anyone, but it is another huge net for Saban and his '09 recruiting class.

The 6-foot-3 225-pound linebacker was also "mulling" over offers from virtually every other school in the SEC, as well as USC and Michigan to name a few others.

Johnson stated that location played a huge factor in the Tide landing him as a recruit, due to his mother's fight with diabetes.
