4-Star RB James Poteat Commits To Cincinnati After Decommitting From Pittsburgh

4-star running back James Poteat became yet another Pitt recruit to jump ship when he decommitted from the Panthers earlier this week and it didn't take him long to find his new team as he committed to Cincinnati on Wednesday.
4-star receiver Bill Belton was Pitt's first notable decommitment in the wake of coach Dave Wannstedt's resignation at the end of the regular season and it didn't take long for Poteat to follow suit.
Poteat didn't go into detail as to the reasoning behind his decision to leave Pitt, but the instability of the coaching staff was believed to be a major driving force.
A bit of an underrated talent that runs a deceptively-fast 4.5-second 40-yard dash, Poteat's got a great initial burst, hits the hole hard, and has one of the quickest one-step jukes of anyone in the class.
Whether it's down the sidelines or between the tackles, Poteat has an uncanny ability to shift his balance and direction just enough to slip past would be tackles without slowing down. He's got a great all-around skill set and should be in line for a bright career.
