NHL WAGs: 10 Of The Most Ridiculously Hot Hockey WAGs On Earth!

Janet Jones Gretzky may have actually started the whole "WAG" craze completely by accident. When "the Great One" was at the top of his game, so was his stunning wife.

Here is my contribution to the ever-growing list of lists and WAG rankings that can be found all over the internet. Have a little fun with it, I know I did!

Inna Puhajkova

Twenty-four-year-old Czech model Inna Puhajkova has been dating superstar Jaromir Jagr since 2006, when she was 20 and he was 34.

Jagr, who has done just about everything right in his stellar hockey career, is obviously still going strong.

The man who was rumored to have once said, "When I look at (Matthew) Barnaby in the shower, I feel sorry for his wife," must be keeping this stunning young lady close at hand because there does not seem to be a lot of information around about her.

Carrie Underwood

Carrie Underwood is an extremely talented and multi-faceted young lady who is the wife of Ottawa Senators veteran Mike Fisher.

Carrie Underwood, not Carrie Fisher, who was also a very hot young lady in her time, has already established herself among country music's elite and is currently tied with country legend Reba McEntire for most No. 1 hits on the Billboard Charts by a female artist from 1990 to present with 10!

Underwood has also dabbled in acting and will be appearing in the upcoming family film Soul Surfer, about champion surfer Bethany Hamilton who loses her arm during a shark attack and struggles to get back into surfing.

Elisha Cuthbert

Elisha Cuthbert, currently the girlfriend of Toronto Maple Leafs captain Dion Phaneuf, was the focal point of a much publicized quote from the NHL's public enemy No. 1 Sean Avery some time ago.

For her own part, Cuthbert chose to take the high road and didn't engage in the same idiocy that has made Avery famous.

Amy McCarthy

Amy McCarthy is in fact the sister of super hottie Jenny McCarthy.

Dan Hinote of the St Louis Blues must have known what he was doing when he married this young actress.

McCarthy is currently starring in a five-episode online series called The Motherhood.

Elena Dementieva

Elena Dementieva is a retired Russian tennis star who also happens to be the girlfriend of Maxim Afinogenov, who is currently playing overseas for Saint Petersburg.

Dementieva is most notable for winning the singles gold medal at the 2008 Olympics after defeating fellow Russian Dinara Safina.

Melanie Collins

Melanie Collins is not only the girlfriend of Phoenix Coyotes forward Scottie Upshall, but she is also an NBA TV news anchor to boot!

Angelica Bridges

As far as redheads go, Angelica Bridges is one of the hottest around. The wife of veteran defenseman Sheldon Souray has made a name for herself as a model, actress and singer. 

Willa Ford

Willa Ford can sing too!

In keeping with the music trend, one simply can't ignore the wife of Detroit Red Wings veteran Mike Modano.

Willa Ford, whose real name is Amanda Lee Modano, is a multi-talented hottie who dances, acts, sings and models! She has appeared on Dancing With The Stars, and was also in Friday The 13th, Minuteman and landed the starring role in The Anna Nicole Smith Story.

Katie Cassidy

Katie Cassidy, 24, may be young by most standards but she is already a veteran actress, and, oh yeah, she is also the wife of Los Angeles Kings center Jarret Stoll.

Katie has been in Melrose Place, Gossip Girl and Supernatural as well as appearing in feature films like Taken and A Nightmare On Elm Street.

Piritta Hannula

Piritta Hannula, wife of former Toronto Maple Leaf and current Calgary Flame Niklas Hagman, was the 2003 Miss Finland runner-up. Later that same year, she would win Miss Europe and then go on to be named Miss Scandinavia in 2004.

She and Niklas married in 2005 after a relatively brief courtship.

There are literally dozens of lists out there that have their own rankings of some of the hottest hockey women on the planet.

In doing actual research for this particular one, I learned a lot of things. For instance, a "Puck Bunny" and a "Hockey WAG" are not the same thing.
