Crawford hit .296 during his nine seasons with Tampa Bay
Carl Crawford has agreed to a seven-year, $142 million deal according to Peter Abraham of The Boston Globe.
This move puts Crawford in left, with Jacoby Ellsbury most likely on the move later this winter.
In 2010, Crawford hit .307 with 19 HRs, 90 RBI and 47 steals in 57 attempts.
The Red Sox acquired Adrian Gonzalez last week and will look to have one of their best lineups in years with the return of 2008 AL MVP Dustin Pedroia from injury last season.
