Penn State fans, we've now found out our (not-so-secret) bowl opponent: The Florida Gators.

OK, so it means yet again a trip to crappy old Tampa for the Outback Bowl, but hey a Jan. 1 Bowl is a Jan. 1 Bowl and that's something to cheer about.  Although, this one may be somewhat undeserved if you consider the Nittany Lions were put ahead of the Iowa Hawkeyes in the pecking order despite losing handily to them in Kinnick. Iowa plays Mizzou in a battle of the Mid-West in the Insight Bowl.

For Florida, there are some fun things to remember from this season: Chris Rainey's use of the cellular telephone, Steve Addazio's use of the playbook, Urban Meyer's use of the English Swear Dictionary during some bad times on CBS, the Gator fans use of paint (God Bless You, Swamp) and, of course, Les Miles' use of fourth down opportunities—which was probably one of the best plays of the year.

Listen, Florida fans have got some crap to call out on us as well. Penn State didn't distinguish itself all season long. Its last performance against a SEC team was an absolute ****-show, though Florida wasn't exactly brilliant facing the same team either. Penn State's best running back wasn't a factor all year long, while its young star was cited for public urination. The Nittany Lions can't decide which quarterback to use—the guy who overthrows everyone or the guy who throws interceptions.

But you know what? This is a game that'll have us all watching with bated breath.
