After a nice card of amateur fights, we’ll move on to a nice card of professional fights.
Some of the differences are longer rounds (five minute rounds for pro fights as opposed to three for amateurs) and the ability to throw elbows on the ground.
An interesting fact to note is that the undercard fighters were an astounding 38-3 combined in the NAAFS in the year 2010. That just goes to show that the NAAFS doesn’t just grant fighters a berth in the championship fights; a spot in the Night of Champions needs to be earned, which is something for which the NAAFS should be commended.
In comparison, the professional fighters on tonight’s card were a combined 9-1 heading into tonight’s fights.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t congratulate NAAFS Amateur Matchmaker Nicole Long for keeping these Amateurs active and paired up with the best possible competition in the year 2010. Great work, Nicole.
