Nebraska v. Oklahoma Football: OU Holds On, Wins Final Big 12 Title 23-20
Nebraska's fourth and five attempt at a conversion falls incomplete, and Oklahoma holds off once again. After 37 points in the first half, only six were scored in the second. Martinez goes down as the goat, responsible for the interception as NU had a 17-7 lead and looking for more. The Blackshirts gave NU every opportunity to win the game--way more chances than they deserved, given how the game went.
NU was fortunate to have a chance to tie the game, or win at the end. But Oklahoma's defense, and the complete implosion of Martinez at QB, doomed NU's chances to break their long conference championship drought. Between last year and this one, I think it's safe to say that no Nebraska fan will be in a hurry to see JerryWorld again. Congrats to the Sooners.
