sportslogos.netWell firstly, I'd like to apologize for not being in contact for a while—but Christmas has got the better of me, and I found myself getting addicted to shopping.

West Ham have gone through a few changes, such as installing a new chairman who—to be quite frank—has been rather quiet. Eggert always seemed to be posting messages on the official site telling people of his doings, where as Boggie seems to be keeping to himself, which is causing some uncertantity amongst the fans.

Boggie has plans to build a new 60,000 seat capacity stadium. Some West Ham fans have wondered whether or not we'd be able to fill it.

With an average ticket price of £36, would 60k fans really be willing to watch a team that's almost in the top half of the premiership, with a few internationals and a club that struggles to beat mediocre teams like Everton? I'm not so sure. It'd be really demoralizing for the WH team to run out on the pitch and see the stadium half full.

I think what WH need urgently during the transfer window are some more players. Not 26 year old left backs (i.e. Nicky Shorey), but young blood. We need to start building a team in the same league as Noble, Ferdinand, Ashton, etc. etc.

West Ham also need another hero. The sad thing is, some fans are saying that Curbishly isn't the man to attract the types of players that we need and want to see at Upton Park. Maybe Boggie will be looking at another manager who can attract some potential stars, and hopefully boost the team into a more respected position.

West Ham are also under fire with the comment made by several newspapers that "West Ham have lost the title as 'Academy of Football," seeing that WH haven't brought any new players up through the ranks since Noble, and thus it's a worrying thought that maybe we HAVE lost the Academy of Football.

I think AC needs to look at his team, and, now we're safe from relegation, ask the key question: do we really need some of the players on our squad?

They were good for their experience and helped us stay up. Now we need to start pushing for Europe, and tell second bit rate players like Quashie, Gabbidon, Ethrington and Cole, as well as older players like Neill that its time to move on.
