I was thinking in 2006 that Michael Schumacher should have his own formula 1 team, I mentioned this to him but he said he wasnt going to bother.
The next thing I Know, I read on a certain website that now he wants one.
Soon in 2010 we will see the launch of the Bugatti-Schumacher Formula 1 team with an investment to the tune of £500.00 million over the next 5 years.
The drivers are unknown but include Nick Heldfield and Lewis Hamilton, as Lewis Hamilton's contract with Mclaren expires in '10 and will be over by then.
Michael Schumacher will be the team CEO and test driver.
Ferrari is understood to be disappointed to be losing such a great asset to the Ferrari F1 team.
Schumacher will leave Ferrari at the end of 2008 to concentrate on setting up Bugatti-Schumacher and so as not to have a conflict of interests.
Well I dont know how much is true as I read this on a website so dont take my word for it.
I am glad to share this information with you, however, going by what Michael is doing nowadays, there is still determination running through his veins, only in the technical side of Formula 1.

HAHA, wow, please check your facts first before posting. VW have already said that they will not enter F1 because the LMS is far cheaper and better. Bugatti cannot enter, please refrain from this in the future.
It is this kind of article that is further degrading B/R.

Oh lord, that is still up? That was the worst April Fools joke ever. As I said, VW have said that they simply do not have the money to fund both sports and will never enter F1, so it is not true. That is like 5 months old now.

Well the part about VW is not exactly correct. What we have at the moment, is the brands involved being spearheaded by whichever team is running at Le Mans. You will have noticed that when the Porsche factory did not have a team, Audi did. There are some real problems with F1, that have cost the entire brand in the past. Porsche have very little to gain in F1 and a great deal to lose, it is however the worlds number 1 all purpose sports car, nothing else is close. They dominate in their own classes across the globe, they even have their own series, that most F1 fans are very familiar with. So one can see, why it is not to their benefit to be in F1 and lose to all things a Renault or a Honda, perish the thought.
There other side of this is that Porsche has maintained a small division at Weissach, that does nothing but build a spec F1 car. This is cheaper than doing a start up car, to enter F1. The purpose was and is for this project that the brand as a whole could in a short time frame, be ready for F1. Now I am not for one minuet suggesting that the story about Michael is true, I am simply saying, that it could happen because of a number of real reasons. Michael Schumacher, is more than a reason, he could be a vital link to a viable business plan. Consider the fact that he can develop the car, he has a fierce friend in Massa, who helped develop one of the most successful cars in the history of F1. Michael Schumacher attracts huge money, sponsors would be all over a deal that was headed by the best driver in F1's history. What better way to build a brand like Buggati, than have it headed by a German superstar, who will not only be able to deliver on track, he will attract huge funding.
Is the story true, don't think so, however it would make real sense if it was.

Do you think that the new F1 aero regs might encourage the Germans further?
They certainly have the resources and tech to cover the regenerative energy rules...easliy.

LJ, don't think this has anything to do with technology, they are German and believe that they can do it better than anybody. It is economics, if somebody comes along with enough money and the name of Michael Schumacher in tow, doors will open!

Gail, what can I say, have had the pleasure of meeting him a few times, however it was never at my doing. Just not sure how you can meet him, unless you are around his home town in Switzerland. Where I understand he is a common site, saying that I am not for one moment suggesting that any one should stalk him. Sorry I am not any help!

Well jordan, I dont mean to delete criticism but i am a strong dedicated fan that sticks by Michael through thick and thin, i am rather a body guard towards him, i just lease out if anyone writes bad throughts about him. i have done this to Sir Sterling Moss, Martin Brundle, Sir Jackie Stewart,Damon Hill these are just a few, after all Michael isnt the only driver that has made a few errors, Aryton Senna has and many more besides.I just hate people running him down and say nasty throughts. They never seem to look at themselves.I dont care what anyone says Michael is a warm hearted guy that is nice. Of course it seems he is ruthless Bastard but he isnt, you have to be aggressive on the racing circuits but deep down inside he is a gentle well mannered gentleman. He is a people who hates the limelight he never throught he would be a international icon.at least he has achieved great success which never many has got under there belt.

Schumacher owns a Bugatti EB110, but that's as far as this story is ever going to go.
This 'story' has been kicking about since April, and is simply a work of fiction from an unheard of site in a bid to generate hits.
I've spoken to people in VW since then, and spoken about the prospects af setting up a team, even as just an engine supplier, and the results weren't positive.
I've not spoken to Michael in a number of years now, but I can't imagine him doing any more than lending his name to the team and having some input in direction - certainly not funding the adventure.

I personally could see Mercedes selling engines like Ferrari and Renault. I personally would like to see Mercedes as a F1 team and I would love to see Ford back. Schumacher and Mercedes would be a very formidable and marketable product.
