Jeff Bailey notched a solo homer in the second, Dustin Pedroia collected two hits and two RBI, and Jed Lowrie walked three times and drove home two in Boston’s 7-4 win over the Baltimore Orioles.

Paul Bryd earned the win with seven innings of work, giving up four runs, one walk, and four strikeouts. Byrd gave up seven hits and three home runs in the decision.

Jonathan Papelbon tallied his 35th save of the season in the ninth inning, despite putting the tying run at the plate.

Stars of the Game: Youngin’s

It just seems like no matter whom we call up at this point, they pay dividends when they get in the lineup.

Next Game: Lester rebounds

Against a team like the Orioles, I expect Lester to go at least seven innings and grab the W.
