Manchester United again break Premier League rules in the transfer market
Yet again Alex Ferguson and Manchester United blatantly break Premier League rules with the purchase of a player who's club did not give permission for them to talk to the player.
When will Manchester United be punished for this continued process of buying their way around the rules. Basically they have mugged Tottenham and paid hush money to ensure the matter goes through without complaint - more fool Daniel Levy for accepting this.
Ferguson was the first one on the complaint band wagon just a few short weeks ago when Real Madrid made their "illegal approach" for Ronaldo. In fact he whined like a jumbo jet leaving Manchester International Airport. How short the memory Sir Alex but well done, you have managed to uphold your theory of one rule for world football and one for Manchester United. Two faced? Surely not?
With the take over at Manchester City, Chelsea's obvious wealth and United being United the bell tolls for English football as, in these clubs, we have three outfits who can (and in Uniteds case do) basically run roughshod over world football.
Unless this activity is nipped in the bud (although it may be a bit late for that as the situation is almost in full bloom) the gulf will continue to grow until every team in the EPL is foreign owned, signalling the end of the English national team as even less home grown talent will get through to play in the top flight of English football.
The Premier League need to act now to stop these activities, Manchester United should be fined and points deducted as a result of this transfer as would any other club.
