The NCAA has ruled that Cam Newton is eligible to play football at Auburn University without any conditions, according to the Associated Press.

Wednesday, the NCAA said in a statement that Cam's father, Cecil Newton, did commit a violation in soliciting extra benefits from Mississippi State boosters.

According to the report, Auburn actually learned of this Tuesday and named Newton ineligible and immediately requested the NCAA to reinstate him. The NCAA granted this.

There is also a story up on ESPN.com about this.

Do you know what this means?

Cam Newton is in the clear, as is Auburn! The turmoil is over. Though Cecil Newton did commit a violation, the NCAA will not rule Cam ineligible. All games Auburn has won this year should stay that way, and if they are revoked, it would be for a completely different violation not regarding Cam Newton.

Auburn is in the clear! War CAM Eagle!
