Johnny Peralta's transfer and throw beat Carlos Quentin to first base, completing Cliff Lee's five hit complete game shutout against the Chicago White Sox.
The shutout lowered Lee's ERA to 2.32, baseball's lowest, not including the half season of CC Sabathia, and more importantly gave Lee his twentieth victory of the season.
Brandon Webb blew his opportunity to become the league's first 20 game winner, giving Lee the chance to be the first.

Lee retired 21 straight batters after giving up singles to Orlando Cabrera and A.J. Pierzynski to start off the game.
During that stretch, the Indians gave Lee four runs of support and added another in the eighth.
Lee had kept an economical pitch count, and had only thrown 97 pitches going into the ninth inning, so manager Eric Wedge let his ace try to complete the game.
Joe Crede and Orlando Cabrera each singled to begin the inning, but Pierzynski popped out and Quentin grounded into the game-ending double play.
By now everyone knows that Lee spent a lot of time in the minors last season and barely made the Indians' starting rotation after spring training. He certainly made the most of the Indians' decision to let him pitch this year, as he is now the prime candidate for the AL Cy Young award.
