Who's in and who's out: The last day of the transfer window (an update)

So it's the last few hours of the transfer window and the cheques books and rumours are flying.

  1. Of course the main transfer news seems to revolve around Dimitar Berbatov and the will-he, won't-he go to Manchester United. Rivals Manchester City attempted to hijack the move today with a £30m offer for the Spurs star, however rumours are emerging from Old Trafford that Berbatov is currently in talks with Alex Ferguson over a permanent move to the Red Devils.
  2. Speaking of Manchester City, the ownership of the club has moved from the former PM of Thailand, Thaskin, to the Abu Dhabi group who have vowed to spend millions on new signings to get the club into the top four.
  3. Croatian defender Vedran Corluka has joined Tottenham from Manchester City for an undisclosed fee. He will be joined by Russian international Roman Pavlyuchencko who signed for £14m.
  4. Liverpool striker Andriy Vornin has joined Hertha Berlin on a one year loan. He has played in the Bundesliga previously with Bayer Leverkusen, Cologne, Mainz and Borussia Monchengladbach.
  5. Rep.Ireland international Steve Finnan has joined Espanyol on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee. Winger Albert Riera goes in the opposite direction.
  6. Louis Saha completes his move to Everton.
  7. Ryan Donk moves from Az Alkmaar to West Brom on a year-long loan.
  8. Real continue their pursuit of David Villa while Chelsea continue their pursuit of Robinho.
  9. Fulham's Collins John has joined Dutch side Nec Nijmegen.
  10. Arsenal are being linked with late moves for Miguel Veloso and Cristoph Metzelder. Meanwhile youngsters Randall and Gibbs sign new contracts for the club.
  11. Ricardo Quaresma joins Inter Milan from Porto for a fee of £15m.
  12. Manchester City seem to be bidding for everyone!!!
