The LHW Division: The Year in Review Part 2 of 2

Pete Dudek@TaynqCorrespondent IDecember 23, 2007

IconSince his fight with Liddell, "Rampage" has successfully defended his belt against PRIDE FC Light Heavyweight Champion Dan Henderson three months ago.

After filming the new season of "The Ultimate Fighter" and waiting for the show to hit the airwaves, there is a lot of time in between for both fighters to get ring rust.  Also to be taken into consideration is how the previous years of the show have been going.

As of late, the coaches have had strained "relationships" with each other.  This could lead to unwanted emotions being brought into the fight.

Some other action surrounding the division:

Undefeated Lyoto Machida is 3-0 inside the octagon. Another fighter to watch out for is Thiago Silva, who defeated prospective top contender Houston Alexander.

The next year will be just as exciting for the UFC, and not just in the Light Heavyweight Division.  In my next report, I'll be covering the depth of the Lightweight Division.
