Welcome to the 2010 installment of the "Bedlam Series", between the 10th ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys (10-1, 6-1 Big 12) and the 14th ranked Oklahoma Sooners (9-2, 5-2 Big 12).
OU leads the all-time series 81-16-7 and has won the last seven in a row by an average margin of 22 points.
However, this year, the Cowboys come into the game with more on the line. Slightly favored for a change, Oklahoma State has a chance to win it's first Big 12 South Division title, which would mean the Cowboys' first Big 12 Championship game appearance (against the Nebraska Cornhuskers, who punched their ticket with a solid thrashing of Colorado yesterday in Lincoln) and their first 11-win season.
By beating their in-state rival in the process, it would make it all the sweeter for this plucky Oklahoma State team. It would also be coach Mike Gundy's first-ever win against Oklahoma (currently he is 0-5 against the Sooners).
So, sit back for what should be a good one, against two teams that have no love lost between them and feel free to add to the discussion below.
