Ohio State Michigan Game 2010: Jim Tressel to Add Ninth Victory Over Rival
Ohio State Michigan Game 2010: Try Again Next Year, Blue!
The Ohio State Buckeyes lead the Michigan Wolverines 34-7 with seven minutes left to go in the third quarter in Columbus, Ohio, and Buckeyes head coach Jim Tressel is now 9-1 against his team's biggest rival.
Early in the first quarter, the Buckeyes had some trouble getting started (going three and out on their first two possessions), and the Wolverines dominated time of possession.
But a couple early turnovers shifted the momentum to the Ohio State offense, and despite numerous penalties, the Buckeyes are currently spanking the Wolverines.
And now comes the big question:
Is Michigan head coach Rich Rodriguez in jeopardy of losing his job?
The Wolverines have improved substantially since last season, but they still can't seem to get it done against most of the tougher teams in the Big Ten.
And even though it may sound silly to people who are unfamiliar with this rivalry, in order to survive as the head coach of Michigan...
You have to beat Ohio State!
And in order to keep your job as head coach of the Buckeyes...
You have to beat Michigan!
Jim Tressel has held up his part of the bargain, but Rodriguez is 0-4 against the Buckeyes as head coach of the Wolverines.
