"Calcio Fever" brings the latest happenings in Italian football.
Anyone who has followed Jose Mourinho's career knows that he truly is a "special one". He has a unique character and is an excellent tactician.
Mourinho's name started to rise in the media when the Portuguese manager led Porto to the treble seven years ago, winning the Portuguese league with the Portuguese Cup and the UEFA Cup.
Mourinho followed up that tremendous achievement with a miraculous double when he led Porto to win the Portuguese league and the Champions League. JM then left the Portuguese champions and headed to West London, and Chelsea.
- B/R Ticket Guide
When Mourinho became the Blues' manager, he employed the system that brought him great success at Porto: 4-4-2 Diamond.
However, that formation did not work as well as it did in Portugal. But Mourinho's brilliance made him switch into 4-3-3, a system that brought him two consecutive EPL titles, an FA Cup, and a Carling Cup.
This is Mourinho's first season at Inter. But Mourinho has again taken his winning system with him. In his first match in the Serie A, Mourinho applied 4-3-3. But it failed, as Inter escaped with what was arguably a lucky draw with Sampdoria.
So now Mourinho has to find a new winning formula. And I just know that the manager-charismatic superstar will.
Good luck, Mou.

I really hope he suceeds in Italy because I still think some take for granted what a great manager this guy is. The more I think about it the more I also realise that perhaps he left Chelsea at a good time.

Poor start against sampdoria but inter have a history drawing with sampdoria for a while now. They're a bogey team for Inter.Future looks bright, snapped up Quaresma last night. This inter machine needed a creative injection badly. So it'll be interesting see how having two world class wingers Mancini/Quaresma will perform this year.

Creative title Zahi.
After reportedly signing Quaresma today, I think Mourinho might make him another Cristiano Ronaldo, except he's going to be more down to earth.
Thanks for the article.
