Cam Newton: Did His Performance Against Alabama Just Win Him the Heisman?
Cam Newton was the definition of "clutch" today as the Auburn Tigers pulled off the comeback of the season in a 28-27 victory over the Alabama Crimson Tide.
In the first half, it was all about Alabama as the Tide put up 21 points before the Tigers even earned a first down.
But the Auburn Tigers aren't ranked No. 2 in the nation for nothing!
When the Tide stopped Newton on the ground, he put the ball in the air for 216 yards and three touchdowns (one of which was a 70 yard beauty to Terrell Zachery).
Current NCAA allegations have surrounded Newton and Auburn football for weeks, and many have speculated that Heisman voters would be turned off to this amazing quarterback.
But Newton could be one of the most talented players in college football history, and this clutch victory over Alabama may have just won him the Heisman Trophy.
