Auburn vs. Alabama Football: Mark ingram Loses a Big Fumble
Mark Ingram had only lost one fumble in the first 612 touches of his Alabama career. The second one came on his 613th.
Ingram caught a screen pass from McElroy and ran for 40 yards, staggering for the last five or so while trying to stay upright. With his diminished speed due to his stumbling, he was caught from behind and the ball was punched out by Auburn.
The pigskin rolled into the end zone from 15 yards out and the ball went to Auburn on a touchback.
Had Ingram just gone down, not that he should have, Alabama would have just kept rolling and probably would have put more points on the board.
This could be a huge momentum swing in the game.
