Auburn vs. Alabama Football: Mark Ingram and Trent Richardson Best Backfield?
Any backfield with Mark Ingram automatically has to be considered one of the absolute best in the country. Similarly, any backfield with Trent Richardson should fall in the same category.
But what happens when you combine them? You get the Alabama backfield. They may not rush for the most yards in the country, but they are probably the most talented.
Ingram missed the first two games of the season with an injury and hasn't been quite the same back he was last year, but he's still produced. The talented ball-carrier has 780 yards on the ground and 10 touchdowns so far this season.
Even though his yards are way down this season compared to last year, he's still averaging an astounding 5.7 yards per carry. Ingram also has 161 receiving yards with one touchdown, averaging 10.1 yards per reception.
Richardson on the other hand has missed the last two games with a knee injury but is expected to return to action today. The sophomore has rushed for 692 yards and five touchdowns to go along with his 267 receiving yards and four scores.
